Megan Long
Quesnel, British Columbia
A chance encounter with a Tom Thomson print 20+ years ago was the beginning of Megan's artistic journey. She has always had a love and appreciation for art. Megan considers herself a self-taught artist and works primarily from her own photos, with acrylic paint on canvas, expressing her interpretation of the beauty in the landscape. Megan was born and raised in Quesnel and spent many enjoyable summers camping, fishing, and exploring the Cariboo Chilcotin as a child and again as an adult with her own family. She is an avid hiker, providing her with an endless supply of inspirational material from explorations in BC and Alberta including Vancouver Island, the Canadian Rockies, and the Okanagan through to Tumbler Ridge.
And into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul.
