Robin Timms is a west coast artist, living on Pender Island, British Columbia where she paints full-time in her studio gallery , " robin's nest studio" . In 2015 she received an advanced painting certificate from Emily Carr University of Art and Design and in 2021 she was awarded Signature Associate status from the Federation of Canadian Artists.
She has termed the phrase " colour hieroglyphics" to describe the incorporation of symbols, shapes, forms and marks to create her own personal language and colour stories on canvas.

Colour is everything and everyone reacts to colour differently. My work is intended to open a conversation with the viewer about the interactions and interplay of colour by creating colour stories in a contemporary context.
