Success! - Spring 2022
Apr 19 - May 1, 2022
The Federation of Canadian Artists has four levels of membership, Supporting, Active, Associate (AFCA), and Senior (SFCA). Anyone can become a Supporting Member, and hundreds of artists are! To exhibit artwork, artists need to submit a digital portfolio of artwork to receive Active status. Intakes for Active status are year-round at artists.ca From there, artists can apply for higher membership status and are juried at a more strenuous level. Associate and Senior Members are required to meet set pre-requisites and criteria, before submitting a digital portfolio of ten images and three physical artworks for live jury. Juries for these statuses happen twice a year. The jury process is anonymous, artists are juried purely on their artwork, not their background, sales history, or industry connections. The jury panel consists of artist peers who've undergone this process themselves to receive their status. Through this peer review, we continue the legacy of the Federation.
