Our beautiful fir trees amazing me with their shapes and twisted forms. Their resilience to cold winds, summer heat and draught, as well as unstable soils during the rain season, stop me over and over on my daily hikes. I sketch them live, photograph them and awe their beauty meditating and observing their strength and resistance.
The tree portraits became my most enjoyable passion this past year.
