About the Artwork

The Canadian prairies feature breathtaking landscapes and natural wonders. Bright yellow canola fields stretch forever, as far as the eye can see. It is a captivating sight for residents and visitors alike. This incredible vibrant beauty is what I grew up with near Winnipeg, Manitoba. During flowering season the blossoms take on an almost surreal neon hue. Next to clear blue summer skies, with floating wispy clouds “I’ve Been There” takes me to my childhood farm. The quintessential “country road take me home”, was an alternate title for this memorable piece.
