Not For Sale
Created this summer during a plein air gathering on a Nanoose beach, this small painting began with leftover paint from a larger work. I was drawn to a beautiful tree leaning over the water’s edge, shading young fishermen below. Using only a palette knife and raw canvas, I wanted to quickly capture the essence of the scene. I loved the freshness and spontaneity of this small study, which ultimately spoke to me more than the original painting.
