About the Artwork
I spent a month in Paris and one of my favourite walks took me by the flower market on the Île de la Cité. I went often and marvelled at the form and beauty of the orchids. This painting is reminiscent of admiring the window before stepping inside. It is part of a series I am planning, "Ode to France".
