I planted a dense patch of Casa Blanca Lilies in my garden and the effort paid off. They were spectacular and I did several sketches and shot images at different times in their bloom as well as at different times of day. I'm so glad I did! I love the ruffle of the petal edges, their recurved tips. The long stamens catch the wind and the rusty orange anthers contrast so beautifully against the brilliant white of the petals. And of course, the shadows are just complete the eye catching radiance of these garden queens.
