Haleiwa is the main town on Oahu's old-school North Shore, home of famous surfing beaches like the Banzai Pipeline. This is on the main street of town, the sun came out after days of torrential rain and floods. A fine layer of mud still coats the road surface. The Ice Truck is delivering large blocks of ice for the Shave Ice shop. I couldn't help thinking about the other meaning of ICE these days, with vans and communication networks overhead.
