I've walked by this old fishing boat in Finn Slough, Richmond, BC for a number of years.
Every time I see it, the boat is getting closer to completion. Lots of love has been put into it.
I was doing a plein air study for this painting, and a man walked by who said he had been a crew
member on the Eva for many years. He said it was built in 1939, and one time, they had 5,000 salmon
on board after a day's fishing. Those days are gone, but I'm glad the boat is getting a second life.
