About the Artwork
This patch of aster flowers grow next to a local trail at the top of a gully, one morning while hiking out of the gully I was greeted by the rising sun which had yet to shine on these flowers. The colour of the flowers and leaves were vibrant in the morning shade, along with the pleasing natural arrangement of the flowers I knew I wanted to capture it in a painting.
