There was a summer when I visited Morfee Lake with my dogs nearly daily, heading out around sunrise for ball throwing and dog swims in the lake. Every time I drove Morfee Lake Road I took in this view but never stopped to take a photo. Finally I did, captivated by the strong morning light casting tree shadows upon the road, enhancing the sense of movement as the road descends into a tight switchback.
