Brambles, berries and twigs are the inspiration for this piece. Rice papers and pastes form the underpainting, which is then built up with acrylic paints, ink pencils and chalk pastels. I love working with lines - bold, delicate, fading and bleeding. Lines create the structure for this vibrant painting. I aimed to create and fun and playful piece that does not take itself too seriously.
