Klimt inspired stencils were the early inspiration for this piece. Layers of pastes, papers, glazes, gels and inks build up the main shapes. The delicate detail is created with copper paint and clear tar gel. I think the piece zings with joy, laughter and brightness. For me it evokes memories of a lovely night looking at fireworks over Lake Windermere in the Columbia Valley, BC.
