Using a variety of pastes and papers, I started with bold, dark blue shapes reminiscent of a giant blue hydrangea in my yard. Lots of texture allowed me to scratch, scrape, add and subtract until my impression took hold. Acrylics, ink pencils and chalk pastels are also featured in this fun and vibrant piece.
