My mixed media include acrylics, mediums, charcoals, oil pastels and graphite. Like some other artists I begin with words: under multiple paint layers are inspiring thoughts, connecting themes, and people’s names: this is my beginning. Light Your World is a limited palette, with warm reds, yellows and neutrals. Distinct gestural marks are a favourite of mine, these are made as I work around the canvas usually on the floor. I hope my intuitive style and inspiring meditative titles draw viewers in. My abstracts are created to be viewed in all orientations.

Connie O’Connor is a Canadian artist whose focus is abstract art using acrylic and mixed media. She paints intuitively creating depth, movement and energy in each piece. She moves between abstracted landscapes and complete abstraction using colour, shape, form and texture to express herself.
