About the Artwork

This piece, Wonder If, is part of the Thrive Series. Every artists has habits & boundaries they wish to break through. The Thrive Series is dedicated to my commitment to press through to those hard to reach places. New is wonderful and revitalizing but can often feel challenging. I love this painting as I push myself to use blacks, then soften. With this challenge I've managed to combine it other challenge criteria for this series,… the sloshy paint. These goals are among several criteria I am embracing for ongoing work in 2022.

I just love the space that creating abstract art makes for the imagination, for both artist & viewer. I work in a series, several paintings at once, which allows me to utilize my creative energy to its maximum, moving from one painting to the next.
