In the way of the olden days, harvesters on the Kimble farm gather for a threshing bee to pitch in and thresh the grain using the antique threshing machines and horses like in the days of old. Grain is cut and stooked in the fields and thrown on to the wagons then brought by horse and wagon to the threshing machine where stooks are pitched in and the grain is removed from the stalks and husk. It’s an exciting and festive time of year where friends, neighbors and onlookers gather to experience times of the past as the seasons harvest
