About the Artwork

Campo Santo Stefano provides a little shade and a lively oasis from the throng of nearby San Marco, filled with the sound of children playing and the clink and hum of outdoor cafes. Nearby, a young woman sits as motionless as the statue on whose steps she rests, absorbed in the virtual world while the city and pigeons whirl as if in orbit around her.
