Travel is always eye-opening, and the greater understanding and appreciation brought about by experiencing vastly different cultures is invaluable, living in a world where we are so closely connected through media. People living half way around the world can be as close as neighbours, and we are profoundly and instantly affected by their struggles in a way previously unknown. A venerable gentleman I met on a sandstorm-darkened sidestreet of Alexandria transformed my experience with his warmth and welcome.

"I strive to give permanent form to fleeting moments of grace. Favouring organic subjects, I enjoy exploring the idiosyncrasies that distinguish an individual. My devotion to studying the specific character of light and and its ability of light to transmute the quotidien into something remarkable remains constant throughout."
