Not For Sale
We're all made of stars, heading to infinity. This painting was inspired by hot summer nights in the desert town of Osoyoos, BC, as well as recent images from the James Webb telescope. The landscape was created using direct pouring of pure colours, with no brushwork. The foreground was painted using negative application of masking fluid. The idea was to contrast random water flow effects with precise foreground details. Layers of random splattering created the star field. Our family has been going to Osoyoos every August for decades, and this painting captures my memories of those long ago days.
