As darkness falls over Vancouver, the lights from Lion’s Gate Bridge and the city begin to sparkle, illuminating every street and building along its coastline. The Night is Still Young reminds the viewer that despite the lateness of the hour, the city always has something new to offer as there are always places to go and things to do. The painting imparts a sense of optimism, excitement, and pride in this beautiful city that Vancouverites live in. Some landmarks are even more striking when lit up against the night sky.
