This scene tells the story of life in the country fully understood by those who partake and only imagined by those who have not been fortunate enough to have had the experience of harvesting on a warm fall evening under the light of the moon. The sounds of machinery working, the scents of the evening air and grain offer a very special time of wonder and completion as the crops come off the field. It leaves me with a melancholy feeling of living on the farm.
