About the Artwork

Often we overlook the limitless vantage point of the endangered birds of the Atlantic Flyway, what they must see and how valuable it is to protect precious and pristine islands that serve as a rest stop, a food source or a fundamental part of their ecosystem. Bird's Eye view pushes the viewer to imagine the aerial vantage point of the western sand mass of Bachmans Island in Mahone Bay, NS - one of the protected islands purchased and cared for by Mahone Islands Conservation Association. This is a popular piece in The ART of Conservation Collection found in Atlantic Canada.
