Shannon Carla King
Calgary, Nova Scotia
I am a Canadian reclamation, preservation and conservation artist, raised on a farm in Alberta, and have lived coast to coast throughout Canada. I am inspired by the snow in the Alberta foothills, the giant cedars in BC and the vibrant colours of the east coast.
My passion for painting began over 30 years ago, at the age of 13. My artwork honours environmental efforts to protect the land, by showcasing reclamation, preservation and conservation areas.

"I still feel like a little kid when I am outside and the wind is blowing in my face. Painting reminds me to cherish that youthful outlook on life."
