My abstract paintings are visual expressions of visceral experiences.
Having suddenly acquired an unexplained condition of peripheral neuropathy several years ago, this affliction of feeling intense pain while also experiencing severe numbness, has illuminated to me the many contrasts in life. Ironically my immense adoration of natural landscapes where I love to roam, is where I often experience the greatest intensity of this condition.
My art-making offers me a platform to express both my challenges of dealing with constant pain while also allowing me the grace of focusing on the incredible value of pushing through challenge. My studio is where I am able to convert my physical experiences into beautiful expressions of both my inner and outer worlds, encouraging exceptional presence and attention in order to feel beauty beyond adversity and embrace my love of the outdoors.

I just love the space that creating abstract art makes for the imagination, for both artist & viewer. I work in a series, several paintings at once, which allows me to utilize my creative energy to its maximum, moving from one painting to the next.
