About the Artwork

Concept: Change

Change is difficult but necessary and is a natural part of life, however adamant we may be with resistance. My recent work explores the concept of change, by also embracing a change in the approach to my work. Accepting the idea of change means opening up to what is, acknowledging resistance and celebrating the new irregardless.

This piece is the first painting in this series where I let go of controlling every design element in place for allowing the natural effect of paint to show through without tidying things up. The mess can feel uncomfortable, frightening, and stir

I just love the space that creating abstract art makes for the imagination, for both artist & viewer. I work in a series, several paintings at once, which allows me to utilize my creative energy to its maximum, moving from one painting to the next.

"Abstract paintings that are Visual Expressions of Visceral Experiences"
