While on an early winter hike on a couple of trails near the town of Mackenzie, BC I came out onto a community forest logging road connecting the two trails, it was a well-timed opportunity to catch the sunset. The sun broke through the clouds as it was setting, casting a golden glow on the forest edge of the cutblock. The pinks, purples and blues reflecting on the clouds in the sky made for a stunning contrast.
