About the Artwork
Buckwheat, a plant that was originally grown to add organic matter to my garden beds but soon became an annual favorite after letting it go to flower. The clusters of small white flowers, at times tinged with pinks and magentas, require a closer look to appreciate their delicate yet hardy nature. The painting takes us into this space to enjoy their beauty.
