This painting got its name from some handmade paper that is used in the piece. I bought a beautiful silk scarf in Laos which was wrapped in said paper. It responded differently to the varnish and I love the high spots and low spots of sheen that resulted. Lots of large subtle shapes contain the lively explosive shapes at the intersections.
