This piece is from a series I did that started with phthalo green and quinacridone magenta. That is a favorite pairing of mine. The piece is vaguely based on birch bark, a favorite subject matter, but there was no plan or drawing. I let the piece evolve intuitively as the shapes start to form their own identity. I think the star of this piece is the amazing fuzzy pink paper on the right. And I love the bold ink lines.
