I find tree bark to be an endless source of inspiration. I paint trees, but I really aim to capture tree bark. This piece features papers, pastes, copper leaf, chalk pastel and gold paint. This tree oozes effortless beauty and grace, the way trees do in nature. I like the variety of edges and the way the background shapes enhance but don't detract from the central figure.
