Mesmerized by the wild outpour of water on the way down the Fourth Chute on the Bonnechere River, I did not include much else in this plein air work. The roar in my ears, the mist on my face, the twists and turns of the torrent, and even my balance on the edge of the cliff…what could I do but just obey the call and paint.
