About the Artwork
From a photograph I took. After completing the onsite painting I looked up and the heavy cloud had majestically lifted off of Mount St Elias. This peak is 18,000 feet and stands on the Canada-USA border between the Yukon and Alaska. What an awe-inspiring reveal! Painting this in the studio brought back so much more emotion than can be felt from a mere photograph, I hope it can also be felt by the viewer!
