Calm water allows us to settle into slowing down and reflect on what matters. My focus is connection and what holds us together. Water makes up 90% of the human body. Figures attempt to merge with one another and their distinct watery environment. Colour expresses mood, and gesture is felt. Themes of intimacy, distance and resilience exist as metaphors for a human journey.

Paintings focus on genuine, supportive relationships and the goodwill that holds people together. They combine real experienced moments and sensations with the imaginary, reframing life's journey to be hopeful and inclusive. Permeable abstracted figures merge with each other and their distinct environment, becoming a metaphor for the wider human condition.
