Set in Montague Harbour Provincial Park, this painting is both a seascape and a love letter. Inspired by my late partner Ben and his deep connection to the ocean, it transforms the night sky and tides into a dreamlike realm where marine life, celestial currents, and memory flow together.
I imagine the ocean so enchanted by the full moon over Montague Harbour that it reaches up to dance in its light. Waves curl into galaxies, kelp streams like ribbons of starlight, and the boundary between sea and sky dissolves into one vast, flowing dream. For those who look closely, Ben can be found in his kayak at Mushroom Rock — a quiet tribute, forever part of the world he cherished.

Galiano Island, British Columbia
My work celebrates the beauty of Galiano Island and the rhythms of wild joy that connect everything in and around this little island. Recently I have been exploring the night sky, playing with the shapes of light and dark cast by the light of the moon.
""When painting our long narrow island I am tuned into the rhythms of open sky and ocean that weave through the tapestry of rock and forest connecting us all""
