His Double base is Bigger that he is

My grandson plays a double base for the Vancouver symphony Youth Orchestra. I like to watch him as he practices and made this picture from photographs I took of him.

I found the curves and reflections of the double base a challenge to properly capture as I played with concepts of space and perspective. I have always admired Toulouse-Lautrec for the techniques he used that incorporated the neck of a double bass in his atmospheric paintings
