About the Artwork

Exploration of different media and techniques is always exciting for me. Taking risks and asking myself, 'I wonder what would happen if'...this type of freedom is why abstract art is near and dear to my heart.
String Theory ll is one of a series using recycled burlap threads adhered to the canvas with acrylic gloss medium and then a thin layer of rice paper is adhered on top of that. The fun begins using loose acrylic paint and a granulated acrylic bronze (seperates and creates a green stain). This also creates translucency with the paint and interesting textures.

“I feel that creating art is an act that invites the artist and the viewer to create meaning and story within themselves. I hope my art brings some enjoyment, curiosity and/or possibly eliciting the viewer to feel emotions and create a personal story about the image."

"Always inspired by Nature. Always experimenting. Creating art always lifts my soul."
