About the Artwork

I love how colours evoke memories and feelings. My 'Off to the Corner Store' series focused on design, pattern and colour. They always seemed to have a pathway leading your eye through the image. And Creamsicles! One of my childhood favorites! Indulging in abstract expressionism brings great joy for me in it allows intuition and intention to join in creating images, composition and marks purely from my imagination. I love that my paintings create stories and am always intrigued by the viewers connection, thoughts, stories invoked by my painting.

“I feel that creating art is an act that invites the artist and the viewer to create meaning and story within themselves. I hope my art brings some enjoyment, curiosity and/or possibly eliciting the viewer to feel emotions and create a personal story about the image."

"Always inspired by Nature. Always experimenting. Creating art always lifts my soul."
