This painting was created plein air on a hot, early summer, day just behind my home. I was stopped in my tracks captivated by remarkable architecture of the fir bark glowing in the midday sun. I have set up as quick as possible trying to capture the glow of tree trunks and the sunny grasses. Coolness of the shade spot I had picked was remarkably contrasted with the still green but quickly drying grasses. I hoped to capture this wonderful golf course edge forest at its best.
