This is one of the first paintings in my series, Disrupted Earth. In this collection, which continues to emerge over time, I have poured my love of this planet we call home, my grief at what we are doing to it, and the promise of hope that still rises from the broken fissures and rifts, the burnt scars, the fractured beauty that even now, speaks of the possibility for transformation. If we’ll only listen. The surface, rich in texture, both visual and tactile, is my attempt to capture both the raw earthiness and the emptiness of time and space.
