About the Artwork

This piece is a horse and little girl embracing. This is my first horse sculpture so I had to learn their anatomy. I used new techniques for sculpting (with molding in mind), different molding techniques and new material for casting (fast setting). I want to show the muscular strength of the horse and the slight/delicate girl in contrast to each other - disparity of size and strength. The message is that their love for each other is absolute, true and is the real power in this story. We have attributed power differentials as something bad. Although this horse could crush
