Tricia Reinson
Calgary, Alberta
Trish’s creative journey began in childhood, sketchbook always close by. She earned her Fine Arts degree from the University of Calgary and later discovered a passion for teaching while leading workshops at the Mendel Art Gallery. After completing a Bachelor of Education, she spent 23 years teaching middle school art before moving into her current role at Calgary’s North Mount Pleasant and Wildflower Arts Centres. Five years ago, she fell in love with watercolour, blending it with her interests in urban sketching and drawing animals. Her work combines vibrant colour, expressive line, and layered mediums. Trish approaches each piece like a puzzle—guided by curiosity, thoughtful colour choices, and an ever-evolving creative process.
“Cityscapes, nature, and animals shape my work. Watercolour’s unpredictable energy and detailed line work let each painting unfold like a puzzle finding its final pieces.”
