This self portrait is a close-up exploration of my own face, with my blue eyes becoming the main focus of the painting. I was interested in capturing not only my features, but the feeling of looking at myself and being seen at the same time.
The soft pinks and warm tones of the face contrast with the bright blue of the eyes, bringing attention to their intensity and expression. I simplified the features and left much of the face almost weightless, allowing the eyes to carry the emotion of the painting.

I like to create pictures. I love the smell of oil paint; the texture and tension of the canvas; the resistance and softness of the brush; and the color and consistency of the oils. For me, the process of creating an artwork is like a journey to a distant country.
"My artistic vision allows me to express what can’t be articulated with words. The viewer is welcome to connect with my reality, to dive into my world, and to connect with my soul through the emotional context of each artwork."
