Isobel is a realist painter working in acrylics and oils. She has a particular fascination with capturing light in her paintings; especially single light sources in a dark environment. Modern life removes us from the experience of darkness, and the magic of a light in the dark. This was something she rediscovered when she emigrated from a big city (Glasgow) to live in rural Nova Scotia.
She also enjoys nature, and painting landscapes, and nostalgic/historical still life subjects.
Isobel is originally from Scotland but now lives in Nova Scotia.
