About the Artwork
My art progression as a painting. The child's painting pinned on the wall is a copy of one I painted when I was 3 years old. The tools of the trade - pencil, brushes - that I have used for decades are alongside, and in front is my current favourite subject matter for paintings; candlelight. From where I began to where I am now.

Isobel is a realist painter, based in Nova Scotia. Her work focuses on capturing light, particularly single light sources in a dark environment. She works in acrylics and oils.
