Victoria Klassen

New Westminster, British Columbia

Victoria Klassen is an abstract painter whose work is inspired by nature to convey her passionate commitment to the environment and a desire to convey its fragile beauty. Shadows that have formed a pattern on the forest floor, the light coming through the trees, strong shapes and line work inform her work. Her work alludes to the beauty and simplicity of nature inspired forms, light and texture. She works out of her studio in Vancouver, BC where she also attended Emily Carr College of Art & Design and the Langara Fine Arts program.
It is through abstraction that I can truly express my affinity with nature.
