Ray is a Calgary based oil painter who likes to capture western landscape and wildlife in an abstract realism and fine realism. His paintings depict various scenes, often filled with a wide range of rich colour and depth.
Even though many have come to recognize Ray multiple bison paintings, his work covers a vast array of subject matter from western landscape, indigenous, wild animals, to street scenes and still life.
Ray can sometimes be found outdoors painting along rivers or in the mountains and hills of Alberta and BC.
