Sheryl Fisher AFCA
Victoria, British Columbia
It wasn’t until Fisher had more time later in life, after her four children had grown, that she started to focus on her art practice. She studied art in college and years later took several workshops with various artists after moving to Victoria from the prairies. Her focus was on painting people who she found fascinating, until she took an abstract workshop with Michael Shemchuk, and a mentorship course with Connie Michele Morey simultaneously. Her paintings then became more introspective, giving insight to her own story. She has won several awards for her work. She has gallery representation with Melt Studio + Gallery in Prince Edward County, and at Federation Gallery in Vancouver.
I paint to escape into my own little world for awhile.
