About the Artwork

During the early days of the pandemic, I started to source materials from within my home to explore in my abstract mixed media paintings. Pages from old magazines and books, paper napkins, bits from my recycling bin, scavenged scraps of fabric, forgotten pastels found in a drawer, and leftover house paint provided me with an exciting array of colours, text, patterns, and textures to work with.

My paintings are observations of moments in my life, broken down in colours, texture, shapes, gestures, lines, and text. They invite you in to be curious, and to respond with your own interpretations of what the work is about.

"I paint to escape into my own little world for awhile."
